Hisar’s Nirmal Enterprises upgrade its photo business with HP Indigo 12000 HD

Dinesh Bindal, managing partner, Nirmal Enterprises, said, “Photo album is a demanding business. It always seeks something new in terms of size of albums, more and different colour, texture, fast delivery, among others. Earlier, we used to manufacture albums of 12x18-inch, but now we can give multiple sizes of photo albums.”

Bindal was also excited about the fact that the press has CMYK with two additional colours. Nirmal is now focusing on using green and pink.”

Bindal was working in the rubber industry when his friends Rajesh Bindal and Manish Chaudhary visited a photo printing exhibition and suggested that Bindal should start a photo printing business.

The three then came together, established the partnership firm Nirmal Enterprises, and invested in the HP Indigo 5600 in 2012. At the time, it was the first such major investment in digital printing press in the geography.

The partners had the experience, spunk, and sales skills and Nirmal started to grow.

In 2012, the company produced around 30 to 40 albums per day. Today, it delivers 130 photo albums working on a single shift. Soon, it wants to take the number to 300 photo albums per day.

Six years on, it was time to take the firm to the next level.

“The HP Indigo 12000 HD has made it possible to produce bigger sizes and better quality photo albums. Now, we can produce mega photo book (20x40-inch), 20x30-inch posters, and brochures for multinational companies, and so on,” said Bindal.

In 2012-13, there was a boom in the market and less machines. Now, with the availability of similar technologies everywhere, Nirmal needed to make the extra effort to stand out. This is, Bindal explained, was another reason for investing in the HP Indigo 12000 HD.

“Now, we are ready to deliver everything that can be printed in digital, and we are not limited to photo albums only. Our next target is wedding cards; it is a big industry. We would also like to cater MNCs,” Bindal added.
