Enveear Cottage Industry manufactures PVC office files and folders, covers, document holders (flip and button) and card holders. Most of the printing is rendered by screen printing process since these are non-paper substrates. For example, office files are screen printed on a Grafica semi-automatic screen printing machine. The two production units of the company are housed in 12000 sq/ft inside a busy flower market. The company also supplies paper envelopes which are printed by offset.

“Right now we import 30-40% of all our products and the rest is manufactured. However, once GST gets streamlined, we will reduce import by producing a new range of products as required,” said Dhananjay Kumar.

“Printing is part of our business as we have to print customer’s brand identity, logo, address, etc. 35% of our file production is rolled out with printing, out of which screen printing involves 90% and rest is printed by offset,” he added.

Enveear Cottage Industry has three partners, viz. Dhananjay Kumar, Badri Narayan, and Lakshmi Cottage (Chennai's renowned wedding card and social stationery manufacturer).  The company supplies its products to markets in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala. They directly supply to corporate, stationery shops, banks and financial institutions, educational institutes, hospitals, small offices. “Our products are also exported indirectly through export houses. Banks and corporate account for 20% of our business and the demand from education sector is also growing," concluded Dhananjay Kumar.
