Bwin Digiflex, established by Shailesh Garg and his brother Manish Garg in April 2012, is a sister concern of Baddi-based SMC Packaging.

According to Deepanshu Goel of Creative Graphics, Baddi is a strategic location for the company and were looking to own a facility there. Meanwhile, he said, the Garg brothers were not able to concentrate on the flexo business because of their other engagements. So Goel initiated the talks a few months back.

Goel, however, declined to disclose the amount and conditions of the deal.

He said acquisition is a good move instead of establishing a new facility. “This acquisition will increase our client numbers up to 500 from the existing 400. By the end of this week, the entire operation will be in our control,” he said.

He added that the deal will add around 20% growth to Creative’s bussiness. “We want to increase our presence across the country with our quality production and quick service,” he said.

This is the second acquisition of Creative in the last three years after Chennai-based Colour Dot.

The acquisition has increased the company’s reach in five cities – Noida, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Baddi.
