Manroland India’s ‘business as usual’ stance got a boost when the company completed the first installation of its pre-owned R704 HiPrint press at Vijayawada-based Bhavana Offset Printers, directly sold by the company.
This is Manroland India’s first installation, post the German manufacturer’s insolvency filing last November.
Manroland India has also announced that it will enter the high speed digital web business in India in the coming months after the sell-off of German manufacturer’s high performance offset printing systems with the Indian subsidiary declaring that the two multi-disciplined engineering conglomerates, Possehl Group and Langley Holdings are the investors for the web-fed and sheetfed sectors respectively thus ensuring a strong future for both business units.
Anil Bhatia, managing director at Manroland India, said: “With the support of the two strong engineering groups as investors, Manroland web and sheetfed businesses look forward to a secure and long term success in the future, with increased spends on research and development on new technologies assured.”
The pre-owned press division of Manroland India was launched in 2011, wherein the company offered services of inspection, sourcing, sales, installation, spare parts and service support for Manroland presses sourced from the across the globe. The same year, according to Manroland India, also recorded an increase in its sheetfed installed base by 25% including both new and pre-owned press installations in India.
