Drupa Shopping: "looking for web machines," says Abidali Shaikh of Nectar Prints

5 Jan 2012 |  PrintWeek India   |   Comment Now
With Drupa 2012 in the offing, Abidali Shaikh speaks to PrintWeek India about the dream kit he would like to invest in at the show.

It is almost six months to the run-up to Drupa 2012, how do you rate your company’s performance in the current scenario?

We are growing at a fast pace compared to last year-inspite of the current scenario we expect to grow at 25 to 30%. This is mainly because we have branched out into new segments.

What investments are you focussed on which you think is a must for your organisation?
We are looking forward to building a set up at our Thane – Bhiwandi property. We plan to set up a book manufacturing uni. As a second phase, we plan to expand our reach into the packaging sector. This decision has majorly followed after attending the 1st NBPC that took place in Thiruvananthapuram.

Which product will you invest in order to compete at the highest level?
We look forward to invest in high speed web machines from Manugraph which will be backed by quality pre-press and post-press machines.

PrintWeek India and the print-related publications under the Haymarket Media stable worldwide including Germany (Druck & Median) and UK (PrintWeek) are the official media partners for the Drupa 2012 event.

A daily 48-page Drupa newspaper will be produced LIVE by the editorial teams (including the editorial team from India) from across the publication, spearheaded by PrintWeek, UK.
