NBPC's newly formed core committee to meet on 19 December

The core committe of National Book Printer's Conference (NBPC) comprising of CEO's of India's leading book printers such as Gopsons, IPP, Lovely Offset, Manipal technologies, Multi Vista Global, Replika, Repro India, and Thomson Press; will carry forward the momentum derived from 1st NBPC at a meeting in Mumbai on 19 Decemebr 2011.

 

This includes eight super book printers - Pramod Khera, Ms Amila Singhvi, Vasant Goel, Bhuvnesh Sheth, R Jayaraman (his son, Rajesh will attend on his behalf, Selva Kumar, Gautham Pai (Sashiranjan will attend on his behalf), Mr C J Jassawala (Kapil Raina will attend on his behalf).

Finalising the White Paper which was presented at the 1st NBPC will be a part of the agenda for the meeting on 19 December. 

"It's now time to capitalise on the unified voice of over 300 Indian book printers that was heard at the 1st NBPC held in Thiruvanananthpuram from 17-19 November 2011," said P Sajith of Welbound. 

Speaking about other key points on the agenda, Pramod Khera of Repro India said: "The core committee will discuss the functioning of NBPC - as a special interest group that will support and seek support from events and organisations that will work towards significant growth in book print exports from India." 

Ramu Ramanathan, group editor of Haymarket Media India added: "The objective will also be to identify the advisory and support group for NBPC - from a pool of publishers, government officials, technology and consumable suppliers." 

Both Ramanathan and Sajith wil be a part of this committee, which will "set realistic targets - both qualitative and quantitative - for the committee to achieve in 2012."
