Plastivision 2017, one of the largest shows in the world
India's leading plastics fair to be held in Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai from 19 to 23 January, 2017. The previous edition in 2013, was spread across six halls and two hangars of Bombay Exhibition Centre covering 75,000 sq/m area, and boasted of 1,500 exhibitors plus 1,00,000 visitor footfall.

The five-day exhibition is a must attend for anyone interested in plastic packaging technology.

Print and Beyond seminar in Kerala
The Kerala Master Printers Association is hosting a tech seminar on 14 January at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Kochi. The full day seminar will have presentations by Ramesh Kejriwal of Parksons Packaging and Ankit Tanna of Printmann. The highlight of the conference is a user-panel in which packaging firm CEOs will interact with Kejriwal and try to understand how to build a successful packaging company.

In addition, Venugopal Menon (Bobst India) as well as Dr Rajendra Kumar Anayath will address the requirements of a packaging business. Mahesh Reddiar, the fifth generation at ST Reddiar who has conceptualised the conference said, "With print business models under intense scrutiny, we hope the speakers will provide an insight into what is the new look print story. The case studies of two top packaging players who are bullish and more importantly within striking distance of profits raise three questions for the delegates. These are: What should a print firm look at? Technology to build a scalable firm? Innovative ideas? A business model to create an efficient repeat order system?"

Heidelberg at Seekho Aur Samjho
BMPA’s Seekho aur Samjho, in its third year, will host Heidelberg experts who shall address the issues related to printing machine breakdown and maintenance on 21 January 2017 at GIPT, Mumbai. The idea is to provide practical advice and case studies along with guidance and shopfloor best practices, so that the operators and supervisors can take good care of their printing machine and avoid frequent press breakdowns.

Plastics conference by IIP
IIP is organising a one day conference on Plastics in Packaging at The Leela, Mumbai on 21 January in association with AIPMA and concurrent with 10th Plastivision India 2017.

BMPA's Print Summit 2017
On 24 January 2017, the BMPA hosts its annual extravaganza - Print Summit. In the past this full-day event has been attended by 900 delegates at the Tata Theatre, NCPA in Mumbai. Besides being a knowledge sharing platform, it provides an opportunity to network with industry peers and colleagues.

The highlights of PS 17 are presentations by Lieutenant General (Retd) Syed Ata Hasnain and Shekhar Gupta; plus Dr B M Hegde: An educator is the foremost agent of change! Sonam Wangchuk: Innovation, Motivation and Dedication - An educator is the foremost agent of change. In addition there are presentations by Komori, Canon and Autoprint as well as three print presentations by BMPA managing committee members.
