Komori has concluded the China Print 2013 on a high note with a record sale of more than 120 offset printing machines worldwide. The company also announced that six machines will be commissioned to India and the number of orders is likely to go up by the end of Q2.

The publishers are focusing on real issues,” he adds.

Mumbai-based specialty chemicals producer, Clariant Chemicals (India) has recorded the sales turnover (net of excise) of Rs 277.5 crore during the quarter ended March 31, 2013 as against Rs 239.3 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. The profit before tax and exceptional items of Rs 35.4 crore is up from Rs 34.2 crore in the first quarter of 2012.

Andhra Pradesh has seen a steep rise in installations of Welbound machines since last two years thanks to the soaring book printing market in the state. “In recent years, Andhra Pradesh has become a hub for printing of textbooks for various state governments including Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh etc,” said B Anbukkarasu, the branch manager for Welbound Worldwide in Andhra Pradesh.
